Status update

i haven't written for a while so i feel the need to at least give a short update even if i feel there's nothing too exciting to share. I've really decided to study midwifery for sure now (ok that I AM excited about!). i'm working on my application to the National College of Midwifery. I'm working at the clinic ~3 days a week and each time i'm there i learn a ton and i LOVE it!!
Andrey and I had a really great weekend together. We had a friend from the US who is visiting for work-related stuff over for mexican food and games on saturday. Sunday (Happy Canada Day!) we spent the day at the beach. It was a perfect day. Had a great sleep and then a yummy big breakfast and coffee. We got to the beach by 10:30 so we got prime location under a hut with a table & reclining chairs. It was a gorgeous day - sunny and very breezy so it didn't feel very hot even in the sun. We stayed all day. It was very relaxing - swimming, reading, talking, and even some homework for me. We haven't been to the beach since we officially moved here a month ago. It's not something we can do very often b/c it's a little pricey to use a resort for the day which is really the only near-by beach option. It's nice to have it as an option though and once we get there we think to ourselves, 'oh this is so worth it!'
